A 76-year-old baseball fan is on a very long walk — to make a pitch for peace.

Al Forte, of Stamford, Conn., left New York after a Yankee game Aug 4. He’s hoping to reach Fenway in time for another Yankee-Sox game Sept. 6.

“I’m doing this to spread the message of praying for peace,” he told The Providence Journal as he passed through Warwick.

“If we pray for peace, there will be peace, first in ourselves, then our families, then our cities, our country and the world.”
