Three bronze plaques commemorating 9/11 were stolen from a New Jersey memorial site this week, police said.
The classless theft at the Monmouth County 9/11 Memorial is believed to have taken place sometime between Wednesday and Thursday, according to the Atlantic Highlands Police Department’s Facebook page.
The plaques showed a timeline of the events on Sept. 11, 2001, police said in the post.
Only one plaque of the original four remains at the site, cops said.
