A city firefighter who escaped death on 9/11 suffered a fatal “cardiac episode” at home yesterday.

Fitzroy Haines Jr., 40, of Gerritsen Beach, Brooklyn, was rushed to the hospital after going into cardiac arrest yesterday afternoon and pronounced dead a few hours later, officials said.

He had worked at Ladder 15 in Lower Manhattan.
