A 9/11 Museum janitor was almost electrocuted and nearly blinded by stray sparks that showered him as he mopped, according to a new lawsuit.

Began Sabovic was working in the museum’s under-construction Memorial Hall in January 2015 when someone failed to turn off or seal off power to the area.

Sparks flew as Sabovic mopped, hitting the 23-year-old in the right eye.

The exposed power source was left “unguarded, ungrounded, unprotected, and energized,” according to Sabovic’s Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit against the museum.

The incident severely damaged sight in his eye, according to Sabovic’s lawyer, Steven Dorfman.

The young janitor was out of work for six months and is seeking unspecified damages.
