A 97-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her niece Friday morning inside a public housing complex in Lower Manhattan, police sources said.
The woman, whose name was not released, was found unresponsive with body injuries and a cut on her wrist after 9 a.m. inside the Baruch Houses on Columbia Street on the Lower East Side, cops said.
Police sources told The Post the woman’s 50-year-old niece, who has a history of mental health issues, confessed to her 19-year-old son that she killed the elderly family member.

She was brought to Bellevue for a psych evaluation, according to sources. No charges had been filed as of Friday evening.
The city’s medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
