Hundreds of passengers were stranded for up to six hours aboard a Hong Kong-bound jet at Kennedy Airport during Wednesday’s blizzard.
“They should have canceled it in the first place. There was some very bad decision-making going on,” said Hong Kong resident Siwei Yu, 26, who was stuck aboard Cathay Pacific Flight 831.
“It’s not like this was a freak snowstorm nobody knew about,” said passenger Jessica Ricci.
Starting April 29, US airlines won’t be allowed to let passengers wait on the tarmac for longer than three hours. Different rules apply to foreign airlines.
