A Lower East Side store owner was chucked through his display window yesterday as he tried to fight off a crew of shoplifters.

Richard Ives was working at his Pilgrim vintage-clothing store, at 70 Orchard Street, at around 6 p.m. when three men and a woman walked in.

When the woman tried to make off with an expensive purse, Ives intervened, and her accomplices jumped in, according to police.

One of the robbers slammed Ives into the window and both the victim and bandit crashed to the sidewalk in a shower of glass.

Co-owner Brian Bennett said “two or three of them jumped me and kicked me unconscious.”

The thugs sprinted from the chaotic scene as stunned onlookers aided both victims — and other merchants on the block chased the suspects.

“The other storekeepers really stood up for us,” Bennett said.

Both men were treated at Bellevue Hospital.

Cops were questioning three suspects early today.
