A snake bit its 53-year-old owner in the foot in a Manhattan apartment early Saturday, police said.
Waldo Santiago was in his fifth-floor apartment on West 45th Street near Ninth Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen around 5:15 a.m. when the snake bit him, police sources said.
“He was wearing pajamas,” Santiago’s next-door neighbor, George Valentin, 33, said. “He was standing still, he wasn’t moving. He wasn’t in a stretcher or wheelchair.”
He was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition, according to police. He has since been discharged, a hospital representative said.
Cops could not confirm the whereabouts of the snake.
Santiago declined to comment when reached by The Post.
