Parents at a highly-regarded Chinese dual language public school in Manhattan railed last night against a Department of Education plan that could zap some of their classroom space.
Two of the three proposals to make room for an expanding charter school and special education program presented at the District 1 education council meeting call for giving PS 184 classrooms over to other programs next year.
But parents at the A-rated school — which has grown by nearly 100 kids since 2007 to an enrollment of 640 — said giving up music, dance, computer and science rooms would harm their kids.
