Dr. Robert Aquino, a former hospital exec charged with bribing ex-state Sen. Carl Kruger, has hired a lawyer who’s married to a prosecutor in the office that’s taking him to trial.

The lawyer, Alixandra Smith, also revealed in court yesterday that she has a pending job application to join hubby Daniel Richenthal in the Manhattan US Attorney’s Office.

Aquino said he was OK with the setup.
