Snooki and The Situation apparently aren’t all that bad for New Jersey’s beach business.
The train wrecks from MTV’s “Jersey Shore” might even be attracting people to the state’s 127 miles of beaches, according to a Fairleigh Dickinson University PublicMind poll released yesterday.
“The show . . . may be promoting one of the state’s best features — not Snooki, but the shore itself,” said poll director Peter Woolley.
According to the poll, 43 percent of those who have seen the show have a favorable opinion of New Jersey, while 41 percent who’ve never seen it also like the state.
