Riding the bus along 50th Street could soon be a lot less frustrating.

The MTA wants to install “countdown clocks” in bus shelters along the M50 route, similar to the technology that was installed on the 34th Street crosstown line earlier this year.

Officials also said the program could include technology that sends the time of the next bus arrival to a passenger’s cellphone and lets riders see exactly where their bus is on a Google map.

The MTA said it wants several companies to try out their technology on different routes to see which system works best.
