The death of the infant found severely injured and not breathing in her Bronx home has been ruled a homicide, police said on Friday.
Three-month-old Sherlin Yeslin Camacho died Monday at Montefiore Hospital around 7:15 a.m. — nearly a week after she was rushed to the hospital in critical condition with a slew of serious injuries.
A spokeswoman for the city Medical Examiner’s office said Camacho died of a “blunt force injury” to her head.
Last week, NYPD detectives grilled residents of the family’s home in West Farms, including her father, mother and 5-year-old brother.
The young boy told detectives that his little sister made him “angry” when she cried and demonstrated on a life-size baby doll how he would hold his sister by slamming it down and punching it, sources said.
Cops said no one was in custody or being questioned Friday morning.
