Well that’s a novel defense.

Lawyers for an Upper West Side gym owner on trial for sexually abusing two clients argued Wednesday that the defendant is so good-looking he wouldn’t need to force himself on women.

“He’s in great shape, he’s a handsome guy, he doesn’t need to perv on people,” said attorney Joseph Murray of his client Ray Wallace, 40, in his opening statement in Manhattan Supreme Court.

“You’re going to hear from the witnesses that they were hitting on him.”

Murray said that Wallace is a family man, who runs the boutique West End Avenue fitness center FIT RxN with his wife.

Prosecutors said that Wallace preyed on a 16-year-old girl and a 33-year-old woman who signed up for personal training sessions at the gym in 2017.

The teen, an aspiring dancer and model, wanted to lose weight, Assistant DA Jonathon Junig told jurors.

Her mom supervised the first few sessions — then on Aug. 2, 2017, the girl met Wallace on her own.

The ADA said that Wallace positioned himself behind her, while she was in child pose, then “grabbed her ponytail, rubbed her back, rubbed her breast.”

He said the young girl was so scared that she froze.

A few months later, on Oct. 4, 2017, Wallace allegedly fondled the 30-year-old victim also while she was in child pose.

Junig said that the pervy instructor knelt behind her, massaged her body then “grabbed both sides of her hips and touched his groin against her buttocks under the guise of helping her stretch.”

He added that the victim was “shocked and confused.” She reported the incident to police, and the NYPD launched an investigation.
