Two stage actors were arrested for stiffing a cabbie who repeatedly hurled racial and sexual epithets at them — even though one of them tried to show the cops their receipt and then paid the fare a second time right in front of officers, a new federal lawsuit claims.
Ethan Paulini, 34, and Christina Sajous, 29, left an off-Broadway show in Greenwich Village on Sept. 11, 2014 and got into a taxi, but cabbie Gregory Adolph refused to take the Westside Highway when Sajous asked him to, the Manhattan federal court lawsuit states.
“I don’t have to do anything for a n—-r,” Adolph allegedly told the black woman.
When Paulini jumped in and said, “What did you say?” Adolph responded in a much louder voice, “Now the f—–t got something to say!” according to the suit.
The actors got out, paid the fare with a $20 bill, and got a receipt, but Adolph called police officers who arrested both Paulini and Sajous even after they paid another $20 and tried to show cops the receipt, the suit states.
“We’ll review the allegations and investigate the facts once we are served,” a Law Department spokesman said.
