An Egyptian businessman was arrested today for sexually assaulting a maid at the Pierre Hotel on the Upper East Side — a case strikingly similar to Dominique Strauss-Kahn, cops said.

Mahmoud Abdel-Salam Omar, 74, allegedly locked the 44-year-old maid in his room at the luxurious hotel Sunday around 6 p.m. after requesting tissues be delivered to his room.

He grabbed her breasts and rubbed against her, cops said.

The case was reported to cops around 9:40 a.m. today and Omar was taken into custody.

He was charged with sexual abuse, unlawful imprisonment, forcible touching and harassment.
