Bernard Madoff (getty images)
One of Hollywood’s best is channeling one of New York’s worst.
Alan Alda eerily morphs into a Ponzi monster much like Bernie Madoff in a revenge-is-sweet comedy caper titled “Tower Heist,” currently filming around New York.
The plot revolves around blue-collar workers who’ve sunk their pensions into a bogus investment plan and conspire to get it all back with the help of a petty thief — convinced the slimy swindler, portrayed by former “M*A*S*H” star Alda, is hiding the dough in his fancy condo.
The Brett Ratner-directed flick began filming last fall around the Trump International Hotel & Tower, and this week was spotted rolling at the Brooklyn Navy Yard and around Broadway and Worth Street.
The projected release date is Nov. 4 — about 128 years before Madoff’s projected release date from prison.
