World Yacht Cruises moved aggressively when same-sex marriage was enacted last year.

It advertised in gay-oriented publications. It changed its literature to include photos of gay and lesbian couples along with heterosexual ones. It made its presence felt at shows catering to a gay audience. Its Web site features “LGBT Weddings.”

The effort paid off.

Of nine weddings booked so far this year, four have been for gay couples who chose to celebrate their nuptials while cruising around New York Harbor.
