It sure beats the view from the subway.

Hundreds of New Yorkers hit the decks yesterday for the launch of the East River Ferry.

The boats make seven regular stops in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan, starting in Midtown and ending in the Financial District.

“It wasn’t crowded. It was much faster than the L and easier than trying to get up and down the subway stairs with a stroller,” said Marta Iwin, 40.

Tickets are free until June 24.
