An alleged drunk driver on Long Island was busted after driving her car through a fence and into a backyard pool on Tuesday night, police said.
Samantha Perez, 24, allegedly lost control of her Mazda sedan while turning onto Sycamore Ave. in Ronkonkoma at about 11:30 p.m., according to cops.
Police said Perez struck a parked car before barreling through a fence and into a residential swimming pool.
She managed to escape her vehicle and was uninjured, according to police.
Responding officers determined Perez was intoxicated and she was placed under arrest, authorities said.
Perez is charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol and drugs and criminal possession of a controlled substance, cops said.
