A Bronx MBA grad has been secretly gathering intelligence on New York City military and law-enforcement facilities in support of a potential terrorist attack, Manhattan federal prosecutors said Thursday.
Ali Kourani, 32, was charged Thursday with acting as a “sleeper” for the Islamic Jihad Organization, a component of Hezbollah.
He “conducted military surveillance of US military and intelligence outposts in NYC as well as airports in NYC” for IJO, the feds said.
Also charged Thursday was Samer el Debek, 37, of Livonia, Mich., who was accused of going on covert missions to Panama “to locate the US and Israeli Embassies” for IJO.
