Budding Alvin Aileys kicked off the holidays with a rollicking dance performance at Public School 235.

The starry-eyed bunch plied their nimble feet to a medley of crowd-pleasing learned in the National Dance Institute’s arts program at the Flatbush school, 525 Lenox Road.

Talented steppers explored different concepts, including levels, sizes, speed and shapes, to form structured improvisations.

Many of the students represented the community’s proud West Indian heritage.
