The Fire Department has stopped sending ambulances to St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Yesterday’s move comes days before the debt-ridden Greenwich Village institution ends inpatient services.
It’s the end of a 160-year era for New York’s last Catholic-affiliated hospital, which accepted everyone who needed care.
Walk-in patients are still being treated. About 3,500 employees will lose their jobs.
