Third time’s the charm?

Andrew Cuomo won’t rule out another political comeback tour if loses the mayoral race — while admitting he still keeps in touch with longtime Eric Adams confidante and Brooklyn power broker Frank Carone.

When pressed by the New York Times on whether this was his last attempt to get back into public office, Cuomo wouldn’t close the door on another run.

The ex-governor’s comments come with just 40 days to go before the election and with his independent bid for office failing to gain any momentum.

The latest poll, from Fox News, has the ex-gov nearly 20 points behind upstart Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani with just 29% of the vote, while the Queens lawmaker nabbed 47%.

The survey is just the latest since the embarrassing upset in the Democratic primary when the young DSA assemblyman wiped the floor with the elder politician, who was attempting to mount a comeback after resigning in disgrace from the governorship in 2021.

Cuomo also confided to the Times that he spoke to Adams’ top adviser Carone “several weeks ago.”

Carone is the head of the incumbent mayor’s long-shot re-election bid.

But Adams himself?

Cuo admits the two have not exchanged words in “quite a while” — with no love lost between the floundering pols.
