Andy issues ‘hot-dog’ ban
ALBANY — Gov. Cuomo yesterday made New York the first state to outlaw the use of heating elements in automated and sometimes deadly “box” or “cage” pet dryers used at animal-grooming facilities.
He also scored another blow for the canine community by closing a loophole in a state law banning animal fighting by prohibiting owning, possessing, selling, transferring or manufacturing animal-fighting paraphernalia.
