A lawmaker who suggested schools aren’t making effective use of social networking to enhance classroom discussion got a surprise yesterday when an expert told him that’s the last thing she would recommend.

“It’s not the technology that’s going to facilitate the conversation,” pediatrician Gwenn O’Keeffe told Councilman Mark Weprin (D-Queens).
