The season’s first flakes fell yesterday afternoon, pelting the Big Apple with an icy mix of rain and snow.

Each of the five boroughs was peppered by precipitation that AccuWeather predicted would turn into a light dusting by early today.

Some suburbs are expected to get up to three inches of snow today.

But don’t expect any of the white stuff to stick around. Meteorologist Kerry Schwindenhammer’s forecast for tomorrow is cloudy with a high of 44 degrees, while Tuesday’s expected to be mostly sunny and Wednesday wet and rainy.

“It’s right around early December where we start to see snow accumulating,” Schwindenhammer said.

The biggest snowfall in the past six years came on Dec. 5, 2003, when eight inches blanketed the city.
