Arise, Sir Teachalot
What’s next, the Knights of the Multiplication Table?
Four public-school principals were knighted by the French ambassador yesterday at a ceremony in Manhattan that was lacking only a long sword.
Principals Giselle Gault McGee, of PS 58 in Brooklyn; Jean-Victor Mirvil, of PS 73 in The Bronx; and Robin Sundick, of PS 84 in Manhattan; and former Principal Shimon Waronker, of CIS 22 in The Bronx, were among 30 American educators to earn the honor this year.
French Ambassador Pierre Vimont performed the ceremories.
“From now on the French people call me sir!” beamed Waronker.
