A man believed to be heading to a poker game with a bag filled with $250,000 cash had the hefty haul swiped by an armed robber outside a Queens hotel Thursday, police and sources said.
The thief flashed a gun at a 45-year-old man who was carrying the money-stuffed bag and grabbed it from him outside the New York LaGuardia Airport Marriott hotel in East Elmhurst at around 6:11 p.m., according to the NYPD.

Police officers were spotted taking fingerprints off the passenger side door of a black Jeep following the armed robbery. Peter GerberThe crook then hopped in a silver vehicle and fled with the cash in an unknown direction.
It is unclear if the victim was staying at the hotel, located at 102-05 Ditmars Ave., but cops are investigating whether he was set up by someone who knew he had the money for a poker game, sources said.

A front desk employee at the hotel said he was unable to comment on the robbery when reached by phone.
There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
