HUNTINGTON, N.Y. — A Long Island man armed with a shotgun is accused of threatening a limousine driver waiting to pick up a customer.

Police say Timothy Hickey was charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.

They say Hickey tapped on the window of the limousine at 4 a.m. Tuesday, pointing a shotgun. He allegedly ordered the driver to open the window and told the man he had a bullet for him, a police officer who had recently ticketed him and a person hiding in the bushes.

After a few minutes, he let the driver go.

Hickey was arrested later Tuesday. Police say they found a shotgun and some ammunition in his home.

Hickey’s is to be arraigned Wednesday. It couldn’t immediately be determined if he had retained a lawyer.
