Matthew McDermottTwo armed thugs made off with a bag containing $160,000 after they bound and attacked a man during a home invasion at an East Harlem public-housing complex Monday, police sources said.
The gunmen burst into the 35-year-old man’s apartment in the Johnson Houses III on East 112th Street at around 8:20 p.m.
The victim told investigators that one of the attackers struck him in the face, cutting his mouth, and then tied him up, the sources said.
There were three women inside the apartment at the time of the burglary, according to the sources.
