Cops have arrested a man for attacking a woman in a Harlem park — but no longer see him as a suspect in Thursday’s nearby sexual assault of a German tourist, police sources told The Post on Friday.

“Now that he is in custody, the detectives are no longer leading with him as a suspect in the May 4 attack,” a source familiar with the investigation said. “Another person of interest has been identified in that one.”

The young man arrested Friday is suspected of attacking a 35-year-old woman walking on Bradhurst Avenue between West 148th and 149th streets at around 4 a.m. April 24.

The suspect said “I have a gun,” as he simulated a firearm to the screaming victim who he then punched multiple times before running off with her handbag.

On Thursday, a 31-year-old German tourist had her teeth knocked out and was sexually assaulted and robbed during a pre-dawn attack, just a few blocks away.

Police said early Friday that the two cases appeared linked, but have since backed off that assertion.
