Police have arrested two people in the death of a woman who was shot outside her Bronx home as she returned from doing laundry with her young son.

Police on Thursday announced the arrests of the two suspects, a 25-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy.

Investigators say 25-year-old Aisha Santiago was shot in the chest Tuesday afternoon. She had just placed her son in their building’s lobby and opened the door to get her bags from outside.

A 25-year-old man walking by the building was shot in the leg. He’s hospitalized in stable condition.

Police say a dispute led to the gunfire. The suspects face charges of second-degree murder, negligent homicide and felony assault.
