Prospect Park rangers went on a wild goose chase yesterday, looking for a wounded bird with an arrow through its neck.

The injured Canada goose eluded rangers, who wanted to grab and treat it before it was too late.

“It can fly, and it keeps flying away from [the rangers],” said Parks rep Philip Abramson.

The search was suspended as night fell, and will resume this morning.

“They let animals get shot by arrows, and then not even look — that’s just lazy,” said bicyclist Cindy Juarbe, who thought the search should go on all night.
