A piano-playing cat who became an Internet star will be honored by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at its annual awards luncheon.
The 5-year-old gray tabby was adopted from a shelter in Cherry Hill, N.J.
Her owners posted videos of Nora playing the piano on YouTube.
The ASPCA says Nora is a great example of how shelter pets can be the best companions of all.
The ASPCA’s Humane Awards Luncheon will take place Oct. 29 at the Pierre Hotel in New York City.
Nora will be named Cat of the Year, and a Labrador retriever named Archie will be named Dog of the Year. Archie is the assistance dog for an injured Iraqi war veteran.
