ALBANY — A married assemblywoman who won the seat of a legislator who resigned in a sex scandal was slapped with penalties for sexually harassing an aide, Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie announced on Wednesday.

Conservative Republican Angela Wozniak, 28, who harassed a male staffer after bedding him, has been banned from having interns, must attend training, must have the sexual “climate” of her office inspected and has had her staff budget frozen.

Wozniak ran on a “family values” platform for the suburban Buffalo seat previously held by Dennis Gabryszak, who resigned in 2014 after staffers accused him of sexual harassment.

She claimed the affair was consensual, but the staffer, Elias Farah, said Wozniak intimidated him into having a sexual relationship with her.
