Asthma link to pollution
A study has found that pollutants from truck traffic and buildings that burn residential heating oil creeps indoors, and is present in high concentrations in homes with asthmatic kids.
Columbia researchers say the evidence helps explain varying rates of childhood asthma across neighborhoods.
“You will have [heating oil] inside your house,” the study’s lead author, Matthew Perzanowski, told The Post.
