Three people were killed and several more were injured in separate shooting incidents around the city Saturday night into Sunday morning, authorities said.
An 18-year-old man sitting in a car in Queens was fatally shot when a gunman ran up to the car on Jamaica Avenue and 138th Street and fired several shots into the vehicle around 9:15 p.m.
The victim, Albert Schaper, was sitting in the passengers seat at the time and died a shot time later. The 31-year-old driver was also shot in the arms and tried to drive away before stopping about a block later on Jamaica Avenue and the Van Wyck Expressway, officials said.
A 21-year-old man who was sitting in the back seat suffered minor injuries from flying glass, and was not seriously injured.
Hours later in Jamaica, four other men suffered non-life threatening injuries when they were shot in a drive-by while they were attending a large house party around 2 a.m., cops said.
Two 20-year-old victims were each shot in the right leg. A 22-year-old took a bullet to the right thigh while a 23-year-old was shot in the left foot.
The shooter fled in a silver Chevy Camaro, sources said.
In Brooklyn, a 27-year-old man was killed when he was shot in the face and torso around 1 a.m. on 102nd Street near Avenue M in Canarsie, police said.
He was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he died.
Earlier in the evening, a 31-year-old was fatally shot outside of a Harlem housing project.
The victim was shot in the chest while on the service road of the Harlem River Drive near Frederick Douglas Boulevard around 6:30 p.m.
He died at Harlem Hospital, officials said.
No arrests have been made in any of these shootings.
