Attorney Dominic Barbara, who once represented some of Long Island’s most notorious clients, has been arrested again.

Newsday reports that Nassau County police arrested Barbara on Sunday night after he allegedly tried to choke a woman.

Police say the woman, who was not identified, filed a complaint at a precinct in Williston Park. The woman said the two had been arguing when Barbara allegedly attempted to choke her.

Barbara once represented clients including Joey Buttafuoco (buh-tuh-FYOO’-koh) and Jessica Hahn, a church secretary who had an affair with televangelist Jim Bakker.

He has previously been arrested on charges of harassing his ex-wife, and faces a larceny charge for shoplifting.

He was released without bail on Monday. He did not speak to reporters when he left court.
