A malpractice lawyer yesterday pleaded guilty to looting $2.2 million from his clients’ settlements.

Marc Bernstein’s crimes were “reprehensible acts of betrayal,” said Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance. “His clients, already injured by the negligent acts of others, were again victimized by their lawyer.”

Bernstein, 54, ripped off 16 clients. His victims included a disabled child and an elderly woman who’d been neglected in a nursing home.
