A thief capitalized on the movie “Avatar’s” entrancing powers, stealing purses from Upper West Side IMAX customers

Between Jan. 18 and 28, Nicholas Fairclough, 22, targeted two women consumed by the blockbuster 3D movie at Broadway and West 68th Street, cops said. He was held on $15,000 bail on charges of burglary and grand larceny.
