People who don’t want to fight rush-hour gridlock on the streets of Manhattan during the pope’s visit have a high-tech option to get across town: a short-hop helicopter ride for $95.
BLADE, a company that ferries people to the Hamptons and elsewhere via chopper, is offering new, on-demand service from the West Side to the East Side and back during the morning and evening rush hours Friday.
The helicopters will run every 15 minutes from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. between helipads on East 34th Street near the FDR Drive and West 30th Street near the West Side Highway.
Users can go onto an app, select BLADE Bounce X and book seats.
