A gruesome discovery in Queens that was initially thought to be that of the severed foot of a toddler has been determined to be an animal body part.

Paul Lawrence feared that he found a part of a mutilated child on his lawn on 139th Avenue in Rosedale Sunday.

But the medical examiner, yesterday determined it was actually a bear’s claw.
