The 3-month-old Bronx girl whose lifeless body was found in a wooded area near Yankee Stadium has been identified by police – as investigators grilled her parents in connection to her death, authorities and police sources said Monday.

Genevieve Comager’s body was discovered around 8:25 p.m. Sunday at West 161st Street and the Major Deegan Expressway, cops said.

The infant – who lived at a nearby shelter with family – was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS workers, cops said.

While police are still probing what led to Genevieve’s death, the circumstances appear suspicious, police sources said.

“This is horrible,” longtime neighborhood resident Gil Velez told The Post Monday. “When you kill [the baby] by mistake or it passes away you dump the body anywhere?

“I am hurt that someone could just throw a child that is three months old, that hasn’t fully developed its life, contributed to society,” said Velez, 63. “I feel devastated. No one wants a child to be thrown to the wolves because that’s what happened.

“We in the community, we are mourning that little girl.”

The baby’s 23-year-old father and 20-year-old mother are being questioned – with police zeroing in on her dad, police sources said.

No charges had been filed by Monday morning.

The infant’s body was found by authorities when they searched the area after the girl went missing from the shelter, sources said.

The NYPD was originally called to the shelter earlier in the day after a family member contacted the city’s Administration for Children’s Services concerned about the baby, cops said.

The shelter is located on University Avenue and is classified as transitional housing.

The medical examiner will determine the baby’s cause of death.
