A 1-year-old girl was snatched from her stroller while her mom used the restroom at a Jewish center in Crown Heights, Brooklyn on Wednesday morning, cops said.
The abduction happened at the Chabad-Lubavitch World Headquarters around 8:40 a.m.
A 26-year-old woman, who frequents the center, spotted the unattended carriage and whisked the baby away, taking her out of the center at 770 Eastern Parkway.
Officers were called and searched the area, finding the baby and kidnapper nearby. A police source said the woman was believed to suffer from schizophrenia.
The child, who was visiting the city from France with her family, was treated by EMS and reunited with her mom. She’s in good health.
