Accused casting-couch king Joseph Brooks had his life lightened up a little yesterday, when a judge agreed to lower his massive bail in the sexual-assault case against him.
A Manhattan judge agreed to drop a $1.5 million cash bail demand to $1.25 million after the “You Light Up My Life” writer pleaded that he needed money to live on and send his daughter to college.
Brooks had been free on just $250,000 bail. Earlier this month, Judge Charles Solomon boosted the bail to over a million dollars when prosecutors upped the charges against Brooks, 72, who allegedly forced himself on 13 women.
