Bailing on Pedro

A lawyer hired to defend the disgraced former state senator on tax-fraud charges filed papers yesterday in Manhattan federal court to bail out of the case, which is set for trial in November.
Defense lawyer Daniel Hochheiser refused to explain the move ahead of a requested court hearing on Wednesday.
