Someone has given police the slip after stealing a refrigerated trailer holding 980 boxes of bananas in New Jersey.

Police say the trailer was taken from Vineland Produce Auction over the weekend. The Del Monte-brand bananas are valued at $15,000. The white trailer had “Atlantic” in white lettering on its rear doors and “Carrier” on its front end.
