Bandit is ‘Dapper’ no more
The “Dapper Bandit” has been dressed down.
The ex-con charged with robbing 10 Manhattan banks while wearing a suit and a dress shirt sported a far more casual look in court yesterday.
Maurice Connor — who got caught hiding under a pile of dirty laundry in his brother’s Brooklyn apartment — appeared forlorn in a rumpled navy Universal Studios T-shirt and a pair of baggy black sweatpants.
Connor was whisked back into lockup, pending a Feb. 9 court hearing, after his public-defender lawyer declined to seek bail.
Papers filed in Manhattan federal court revealed that tipsters identified Connor, 52, to cops during the stickup spree he allegedly started in September.
The complaint, signed by FBI Special Agent Bradford Price, was sworn out on Nov. 22, after which Connor allegedly hit three more banks, including a Citibank branch across from City Hall.
