A bank robber from The Bronx who told cops he “wanted to be like Jesse James and John Dillinger” was busted after bumbling his way through three heists in Coney Island, law enforcement sources said Thursday.
Tiffany Felder, 45 — whom one source dubbed “a boy named Sue’’ because of his feminine name — scored only in the first of his three tries, stealing $300 from an Apple Bank on Brighton Beach Avenue on Wednesday, the sources said.
He was arrested an hour later after two alleged failed tries. When Felder was found to have only $37 on him, he claimed he had made like Robin Hood and “handed [out most of the money] to people on the street,’’ one source said.
He allegedly told cops he got the idea to rob banks from TV shows.
